The physical and psychological implications of neurofibromatosis.

Nurses can address many aspects of neurofibromatosis including screening, medical complications, learning difficulties, and the impact of disfigurement. With knowledge of the broader implications of a diagnosis nurses can significantly improve patients' experience of the health service and strengthen their coping skills.
